Who Will Die in Avengers Infinity War?

In one week, Infinity War will shake up the Marvel Cinematic Universe like never before. This will involve the deaths of some characters that we’ve grown to love over the past 10 years. So, which characters do I think are going to be killed off in Infinity War?

Iron Man

Starting off this list is the big hitter, Iron Man. Iron Man was the man who started the MCU, and it seems fitting to have him end with the biggest movie in the MCU. And in recent movies, people have started to realize that he’s a bit of a jerk. This was definitely shown more in Spider-Man Homecoming, with Peter trying to help and being scorned. And when you look at parallels between the comics and the MCU, Shuri is in a similar place as Riri Williams is in the comics. For those who don’t know, Riri Williams took Tony Stark’s place when he went missing. So if Tony were to die, Shuri is completely lined up for the job, and she was loved in Black Panther, which would also help to have the MCU make some more original stories, and deviate more from the comics. Iron Man has also come to terms with being out of the spotlight, and personally, I would much prefer Iron Man have a heroic sacrifice, rather than just being reduced to a side role. It would be the most fitting if it were a sacrifice to save Spider-Man, truly cementing their father-son like bond.

Vision

I mean, this is just an obvious one. We literally see in one of the trailers that the Mind stone is getting ripped out of his head. While Vision has had his moments in the latest movies, he also hasn’t been of too much use since his first appearance in Age of Ultron. And while I don’t doubt that Vision’s death will be temporary, it’s going to be a huge moment, with Iron Man’s plan failing, and the beginning of Thanos’s attack on the Avengers.

Loki

Sadly, Loki’s expiration date seems to be April 27th. When you think of the best MCU villains, Loki is at the top of that list. But when you look at him throughout all the movies he’s been in, he’s grown from a villain to a hero. And now that Ragnarok has fully completed his transformation to a hero, he now needs to finish his arc in a heroic sacrifice, most likely to save Thor.

The Collector

We already know that Thanos is on a quest to get all of the Infinity Stones, one of which remains in the hands of The Collector. That is the Aether, otherwise known as the Reality stone. So, when Thanos goes to get the stone, it’s unlikely The Collector will give up one of his prizes. And why not use that opportunity to show the strength of the Black Order, establihing them as formidable foes.

Nebula

Nebula has always had one major goal, revenge on Thanos. So could Infinity War or Avengers 4 be where she gets that? I think she’ll come face to face with Thanos, but will ultimately be killed. This would be a great show of force, and would really affect Gamora after their bonding in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. This is also a way to affect the Guardians, without killing one of the main cast.

One of the Black Order

While we don’t know too much about the Black Order yet, I feel like at least one of them is going to be killed. That’s because the Avengers need at least a small victory before the movie ends, and this would be the perfect way to give them that. When it comes to who will die, I’m thinking either Ebony Maw or Corvus Glaive.
