Travelling to Another Dimension in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

So, until this video was released we had almost no information on how Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were going to be different from their predecessors. However, this update shows off a few large differences between the originals and these sequels.

The video starts with a new ability to travel between Alola and the Ultra Dimension. This is where the Ultra Beasts live. The way to get through the dimensions is by riding on the back of either Solgaleo or Lunala and warping through portals. It’s very Kingdom Hearts-esque, and it seems like the portal colors are where the different Ultra Beasts live.

In the video we see three Ultra Beast locations, one of which was seen in Pokemon Sun and Moon. The one we’ve seen was Nihilego’s world, but in the trailer we also see Xurkitree’s world, and Buzzwole’s as well. Each world reflects the Ultra Beast’s typing and lore.

After that we see the Ultra Megalopolis, which is a world where Necrozma has stolen all the light. The world is also full of people from the Ultra Recon Squad, which would make them the third evil team in Alola.

We also see four of the Ultra Recon Squad. First we’re shown Dulse and Zossie in the Aether Foundation. We then see at some point you fight Dulse. After that we meet Phyco and Soliera. After that it’s shown that at some point you’ll fight Soliera.

Finally, we get some news about Ultra Beasts. First off is the newcomer, UB Adhesive. It’s a poison type, and is seen being used in battle by both Dulse and Soliera, and has the Beast Boost ability like all Ultra Beasts. Next we see UB Burst, who is a Fire and Ghost type with the new move Mind Blown. And finally we have UB Assembly who is a Rock and Steel type.
