Top 10 Spongebob Songs
Spongebob Squarepants is one of the most well known cartoons of all time. Whether you grew up watching the show, or just enjoy the constant barrage of memes, almost everybody is familiar with Spongebob. Spongebob is a show that does many things, one of which being making tons of different songs. So, in honor of Spongebob’s 19th anniversary today, I’m going to rank the ten best Spongebob songs. And be forewarned, I’m not including the theme song, because it would obviously be number one.
10. Krusty Krab Pizza
Krusty Krab Pizza isn’t a very complex or long song, but most people remember and love it. It’s just Spongebob singing about the Krusty Krab Pizza in a few different styles, but it still works.
9. The F.U.N. Song
This is probably the most iconic song from Spongebob, not counting the theme song. It has Spongebob trying to teach Plankton how to have fun, by using each letter of fun for something that is, well, fun. It’s a fun upbeat song, which gets slightly contrasted when Plankton suggests war, but gets back to its friendly tone after.
8. The Campfire Song Song
Just like all good campfire songs, the Campfire Song Song is simple, easy lyrics, and someone is messing it up. The contrast between Spongebob’s ease and Patrick’s struggle helps keep this song good and memorable.
7. Now That We’re Men
Has a coming of age story ever been as fun as this? Judging by the song the newly mustached Spongebob and Patrick sing, I’d say no. They easily pass by dozens of killer monsters, who even join in on the song at the end.
6. Best Day Ever
When you think of Spongebob as a character, you think of a cheerful goofball, and no song encompasses that as well as Best Day Ever. It has Spongebob singing about how happy he is, and how great this day is. It shows how cheery he is, and can actually help people who are feeling sad, at least a little bit.
5. Gary’s Song
Gary’s Song helps promote a good message to kids, don’t ignore your pets. This message, accompanied by some pretty catchy music, helps to boost this song very far, and the memes helped as well.
4. Goofy Goober Rock
How would you decide to end the first Spongebob movie? I bet you wouldn’t end it with a parody of Twisted Sister’s I Wanna Rock, but that’s what this is. However, it’s also mixed with the Goofy Goober song from earlier, and this really does encompass what Spongebob is all about.
3. Ripped Pants
Season 1 of Spongebob has some great songs, and it’s most apparent here. This is a song about being true to yourself and not trying to impress others while still including jokes for kids, and great Beach Boys style music.
2. Without You
The most dramatic song on the list, it shows how much Spongebob cares for the Krusty Krab, and how much Mr. Krabs cares for Spongebob. On top of that, the music is serious, but crescendos farther and farther up as the song goes on. Without You is yet another instance of a Spongebob song being just good music on its own.
1. Sweet Victory
Easily the best Spongebob song, mostly because it’s just a great regular song. This song can actually be heard in stadiums for different sports, just because it’s a great song. Not only that, but it’s sung by David Glen Eisley, who was lead singer in many rock bands. And Sweet Victory has tons of different music styles, from that of a marching band, to a great lyrical song, and even a guitar solo.
