The Steven Universe Hiatus is Coming to a Close

Steven Universe is currently in its longest hiatus yet. It started after the Wanted special on May 29th, as is supposedly ending this Winter. It sucks because Winter is most likely referring to January at the earliest, as new episodes aren’t usually shown during December for cartoons. However, along with this news we did get a two minute clip of the upcoming episode Dewey Wins. This is going to be the first episode when Steven Universe comes back on the air, and takes place right after the end of the Wanted special.

The episode starts with Steven walking Connie and Lion across the beach, and Pearl and Amethyst are pressed up against the window watching him, so he doesn’t get abducted again. We see Connie walk off, and is upset. Steven tries his best to cheer him up but it’s in vain. She’s upset because the training and time they spent together, and is mad because she wasn’t able to help. She and Lion both angrily leave Steven alone on the beach, still not understanding what he did wrong.
