Super Mario Run was Nintendo’s first time putting their mascot onto mobile devices, and it was received fairly well. I never played past the first three levels because I don’t have $10 to blow on an app. However, Nintendo has just announced some new features coming to the app.

The main new feature is the Remix 10 mode. You’ll play through 10 very short courses. However, on the fifth course, you have to play as a character other than Mario. And, if you get through all the courses, you get to play the Bonus Game to get an item. There are also bonus medals scattered throughout the stage, and collecting enough will let you play the Super Bonus Game, which gets you more rare items. There are also special courses that have more coins than usual. Also, if you play enough courses, you can play as Princess Daisy, who has a double jump. This mode can also be played before buying the game.

There’s also a new world, World Star. No, it doesn’t involve random fights, but nine new levels. However, challenges must be cleared before you can access the levels.

And the last feature, Headphone Mario. This mutes the in game music, so that you can play your personal music. This also works with the other characters you can play as.
