This is the final episode of this arc sees the group split up, Steven and Greg seemingly captured, and Blue Diamond on the way, what are the gems going to do?

Story

Steven and Greg were taken by an Amethyst, who took them to a large group of Amethysts, there they find Amethyst, who revealed it was a prank. All of the Amethysts and Jaspers there were from Earth. Holly Blue Agate then yells at the Amethysts, making Steven and Greg run into a different room.

When they got in the room, Blue Diamond came in, and shortly after, Yellow Diamond. Yellow Diamond sang a song with Blue and Yellow Pearl to make Blue Diamond feel better over Pink Diamond’s death.

Steven and Greg make it out of the room, and back to the ship, but Holly Blue Agate then notices them. Ruby and Sapphire then fuse back into Garnet, who swiftly takes out Holly Blue Agate. The Gems, Steven, and Greg then leave the Human Zoo, hoping to never come back.

Animation

It is the same as the other episodes in the arc, but there is more that had to be animated in this episode. The Diamonds and Pearls look great, with the size of the Diamonds being obvious but necessary. The Amethysts and Jaspers all look great, but noticeably different.

Final Thoughts

10/10

“That Will Be All” has everything a great Steven Universe episode needs. It increases the plot, makes us ask more questions, brilliantly finish out a five episode story arc, and has an amazing song to boot. I’ve legitimately already listened to the song at least ten times.

Pros

  • Amazing song
  • Great finish to the arc
  • Diamonds feel powerful

Cons

  • No large confrontation
