Last episode Ruby and Sapphire made up after their break up regarding Rose Quartz being Pink Diamond. But after that, Ruby ended up proposing to Sapphire, so they fuse of their own choice. So, how will the wedding go?

Story (SPOILERS)

Ruby, Sapphire, and Steven start to plan the perfect wedding and theme. Then everyone, including Peridot, help get the letters ready, but Sapphire is upset that there’s only 10. Ruby and Sapphire are upset that all the old Crystal Gems can’t come, and Steven secretly makes a resolve. Invite Bismuth. Steven opens her bubble, but then Bismuth gets mad seeing all the other Crystal Gems bubbled. Bismuth tries to free one, only to see that they’re corrupted. After defeating the gem monster, Steven catches Bismuth up to speed. She then responds accordingly by dipping her head in lava and screaming. Bismuth calms down and talks to Steven, who invites her to the wedding. She says yes, and Steven gets her ready, by covering her in a sheet. That’s because she’s going to be a surprise. However, Bismuth is scared and doesn’t know what she’ll say. Steven has a toast, but when he signals for Bismuth, she doesn’t come out. He goes to check on her, and he finds her in her armory. She tells Steven that he’s the leader, because the Crystal ems shouldn’t still be together, but Steven keeps them that way. And since the last thing she did was attack Steven, they won’t be happy to see her. But Steven convinces her that he wants her back on the team, and if they show up together, everything will be okay. Bismuth shows up, and is tackled by hugging gems, except for Peridot, who doesn’t know Bismuth. And finally, Bismuth presents Ruby and Sapphire their wedding rings.

Presentation

This episode has one large thing in it not seen for a while, Bismuth! She’s back, and toting a new design. Other than that, we also see all the gems setting up for a wedding, and they all just seem to be having a good time, which is great after the past few episodes.

Final Thoughts

After all the turmoil and tears that have been shown in recent episodes, it’s good to finally see the gems happy. But even farther than that, it’s good to see Bismuth come back, and it seems like she’ll be here to stay. However, the best seems yet to come, as the wedding of Ruby and Sapphire is coming up tomorrow.

9/10
