Steven Universe Has A Comeback Date
Steven Universe has been on hiatus since May 29th, but will soon be returning to the air. After a previous announcement that the show will return in Winter fans were disheartened as it seemed to be referring to January 2018. However, we not only got a release date but a trailer as well, courtesy of Peridot “hacking” the Cartoon Network Twitter account. The show will be returning on November 10th, just nine days away. This is with a catch though, as it will be returning to the Cartoon Network app, not live TV.
The trailer starts with Steven sitting on the beach singing an unheard song, before he gets interrupted by Lapis and Peridot calling him. From there we see clips from new episodes including Nana running against Dewey for Mayor, most likely from the episode Dewey Wins. After that we see Pearl talking, presumably to Steven, about wanting to explain things, most likely about the gems and Homeworld. We then see part of another song, with Steven and the Cool Kids playing instruments and Sadie singing. It also has lyrics about being the “working dead,” which seems like it will be in a Halloween episode. After that we see Lapis on the phone with Steven, and Peridot not in frame, hanging up on Steven. This matches with a scene from the original trailer for this season, which most likely connects to this scene.
