Pokémon Sun and Moon Demo
Nintendo has just given us another Pokémon news announcement, and it was huge. We saw a few new Pokémon, many new features, and a special demo release date.
Starting with the new Pokémon, we have seen evolved forms for all the starters now, but not the final stages yet. The grass/flying starter Rowlet turns into Dartrix, the fire starter Litten turns into Torracat, and the water type Popplio turns into Brionne. None of the typing or abilities change for the new Pokémon.
A new place that was shown is the Festival Plaza. The Plaza is where you can meet other players, trade Pokémon, buy items, and help strengthen your Pokémon. The way that you get the items and strengthen your Pokémon is by getting Festival Coins. You can get Festival coins by completing requests of other players.
The other new feature is called Poké Pelago, and that means while your Pokémon are in the PC, they can now go to different islands and do things. The first island, Isle Abeens, can make wild Pokémon appear, and then let you catch them. The next island, Isle Aphun, lets your Pokémon explore a cave and find items for you. The last island, Isle Evelup, powers up your Pokémon’s stats or level depending on your choice.
The final part of the video showed us that there will be a special demo released October 18th, leaving just a month until the full game comes out. In the demo you’ll be given a Greninja with the ability Battle Bond. Battle Bond makes Greninja turn into the previously anime exclusive Ash-Greninja. You will also be able to transfer the special Greninja to the full game when it comes out on November 18th.
