Final Pokémon Sun and Moon Announcment
With only four days until Pokémon Sun and Moon come out Nintendo is still releasing information. The information today wasn’t the most amount of information we’ve seen, but it showed a few nice things.
We were first shown exclusive Z-moves for the final evolutions of the starters. Decidueye’s is a move called Sinister Arrow Raid, Incineroar’s is Malicious Moonsault, and Primarina’s is Oceanic Operetta. Each of these Z-moves fit the respective designs of their Pokémon quite well.
Next we were shown two new Ultra Beasts, and we have confirmation that you will be able to battle them, which makes it seem like you’ll be able to catch them. The first Ultra Beast we were shown was UB-03 Lightning in Japan, or Lighting in the U.S. and U.K. The other Ultra Beast shown was UB-05 Glutton in the U.S. and U.K., or Gluttony in Japan. This announcement leaves us with a few questions, but two big ones are what happened to UB-04, and what’s up with the names? We’ll find out on Friday!
We only got one new line of Alolan forms, and that is for Diglett and its evolution Dugtrio. They are now both Ground/Steel type, and both have the abilities Sand Veil and Tangling Hair. The new ability Tangling Hair seems to give a speed debuff to any Pokémon that hits Alolan Diglett or Dugtrio with a physical move.
There was also confirmation that in-game gifts will still be available. With Pokémon Sun and Moon coming out this Friday, November 18th, there will most likely be no more information updates.
