Evil Team Leaders Return in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are releasing two weeks from today, but the games are shrouded in much more mystery than their originals, which had much more information revealed by this point. However, one big reveal has just been shown, and it is a game changer. So, what was this big reveal?
Well, Team Rocket is back in the form of Team Rainbow Rocket. Giovanni returns, along with Mewtwo on his team. That is because this is Giovanni from an alternate dimension where he defeated Red. However, Giovanni isn’t the only returning villain, as Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and Lysandre all return from the timelines where they won against the player.
The next reveal is less story oriented and is another gameplay aspect. That is the Battle Agency, where you rent a Pokemon and battle against other trainers one on one. You can battle memorable characters from many games, and you battle to win rare items.
In addition to Zygarde cells, you will now be able to search Alola for Totem Stickers. These stickers are found on the sides of buildings, with some being more obvious than others. If you collect lots of stickers, you can get Totem-Sized Pokemon, just like the ones you fight during trials. However, these Totem Pokemon will only be ones that can be faced in trials.
Using a feature called island scan from the original Sun and Moon, players could track down rare Pokemon not normally available in the region. It looks like this feature will return, and you will be able to track down different Pokemon, including all different forms of starter Pokemon.
In the previously shown Ultra Wormholes, you could see many portals. Now, it is revealed that those portals will house every single legendary Pokemon known to the series.
