Doomsday Clock is now halfway through its run, and there hasn’t been too much going on with the forward progression of the story, as issues were focused in on the characters. However, from this issue forward it seems like the pace is going to be picking up. But does this new pace make for a good issue?

Story (SPOILERS)

Issue #7 finally starts to put together all of Doomsday Clock’s pieces, as this issue finally reunites Rorschach, Ozymandias, Batman, Joker, Mime, Marionette, The Comedian, and even Dr. Manhattan. This issue shows things to come, and really kicks the story into high gear.

Presentation

Doomsday Clock #7 looks just as great as all the other issues, and we get a lot of changes in color schemes. There’s all the different environments shown off, tons of characters, and when Dr. Manhattan appears, the tone of blue he is contrasts against the darker world he appeared in.

Final Thoughts

Doomsday Clock #7 is the peak of the series so far, with tons of great character moments, action, interactions, and it kicks the plot into high gear. While it may have taken a bit to get started, Doomsday Clock is now firing on all cylinders.

9.5/10
