After the post credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War, everyone wanted to know more about the MCU version of Captain Marvel. Then, a few weeks ago, pictures were released showing off both Captain Marvel, and her enemies, the Skrulls. And today, we were finally shown a trailer for the movie, and there is a lot going on in it.

The trailer starts with Captain Marvel falling from the sky and landing in the middle of a Blockbuster, showing that the movie takes place in the 90s. We see her walking around, while a young Nick Fury talks about how he didn’t expect for someone to come from space, and how he was thinking about quitting S.H.I.E.L.D. before she arrived.

During this narration we see that Captain Marvel is there after trying to stop an alien invasion of the Skrulls. She can also be seen shooting lasers while on top of a moving train, which connects to a later scene, where Captain Marvel punches an old woman who is (hopefully) a Skrull.

Later Captain Marvel is talking to Nick Fury about her past, and how she has memories of Earth, but she doesn’t know if they’re real or not. We see memories of a young Carol Danvers, as well as an older pilot Carol, and finally a slightly older Captain Marvel on Hala, the Kree homeworld. We also see her with her with many other Kree warriors, including Korath, the “Who?” guy from Guardians of the Galaxy. This could signify something negative happening to that group, and that could possibly related to Captain Marvel landing on Earth, and Mar-Vell’s (Jude Law) scared face in the trailer.

A bunch of scenes fly by fast after that, which show some space battles, Agent Coulson, the Skrulls standing on a beach, Ronan in a ship overlooking the Earth, Nick Fury using a pager (likely the same one used in Infinity War), a group of Kree soldiers in the Mohawk Suits, and Captain Marvel in her regular costume inside of a space ship. This scene also coincides with an earlier shot of Captain Marvel in that suit captured in a space ship. This is most likely her attacking the Skrulls after she has already landed on Earth, hence the costume update.

Either way, this trailer is awesome, and you can see if the movie is too when it releases on March 8th, 2019.
